The Team Took a Field Trip!
Chris Wertman, Shonta, and I had the opportunity to visit Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School and speak with a sports-focused class. It was a great experience getting to share everything we’re building from Aspire Athletic Club to The L.E.A.D. Foundation, the apparel brand, the Aspire League, and the different events we host throughout the year.
Being able to talk with high school seniors who are getting ready to enter the real world and share some of the opportunities that exist in the health, fitness, and entrepreneurship space was really rewarding. We’re grateful for the chance to connect with the students and hopefully give them some insight and inspiration as they start thinking about their next steps.
Hyrox & HIIT Sign-ups!
Our new clubs have been absolutely crushing it on Monday nights and Saturday mornings. With the increased popularity, all participants must reserve their spot in the app before class.
• HIIT – capped at 24 spots
• HYROX – capped at 20 spots
Please make sure to secure your spot in the app ahead of time so we can run the best classes possible. Classes are free for members, but non-members will be charged $10 per class.
L.E.A.D. NEWS
L.E.A.D. Book Drive Update! 📚
Right as you walk into the gym, you’ll see our L.E.A.D. Book Drive station, and thanks to all of you, we’ve already collected so many books! We’re incredibly grateful for the support. These books will help stock our Little Free Libraries and support students in our L.E.A.D. schools. Books of all ages and reading levels are welcome. The book drive will continue until the end of next week, so if you haven’t had a chance yet, feel free to bring a book (or a few) next time you’re in.
Two Teams at once
For the first time, we had two L.E.A.D. teams operating at the same time.Last Thursday, Shonta and his group were at Yates Elementary in Schenectady, while Chris and his team were at Troy Middle School. Moments like this show the growth of the program and the direction we’re heading. We’re reaching more students, building more relationships, and continuing to expand our impact in the community.
